Words
Write them. Re-organize them.
Selected essays/books in development listed below. Draft introductions, tables of contents, and/or selected chapters will be presented as available and/or I'm comfortable sharing. Contact me if there are titles you are especially interested in.
- Combat Librarian - anecdotes and learnings from my 4 years in Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan
- All the Things I've Never Done - project and activity ideas I have yet to actualize
- Pure Knowledge Impurely Learned: Maneuverings in Pursuit of Truth - thesis emerging from years of going to free/public lectures and seminars in all disciplines at dozens of universities
- PQ Mindings - life lessons I've learned worth passing on to my niece and nephews
- Existential Rockets and the Medicine Dance - expository essay on my philosophy of cultural classification, based on my extensive travel and international career
- In Defense of Unhappiness - treatise on values of unhappiness vs. happiness
- We Have Never Been Civil - exploration of civility modeled on Bruno Latour's classic 1991 anthropology of science volume "We have never been modern".
- In the Words of Another - my collection of hundreds of quotations, including where I acquired them and what they mean to me
Llamas
Spit at them.
The Project
- The Data - presentation in progress
- The Artwork/Installation - pending
Treats
Make them. Share them. Eat them.
I'm world famous for these. Shameless quid pro quo: If you cite me, submit a llama card, or request any of my writings, I'll send you one. :)
- Tori Golub's Chocolate Bundt Cake - First recipe I ever solicited from a friend, in 5th grade. Tori and I were classmates in grammar school and co-founders of the Kelihopters (secret recess club). She brought this cake to class one day and I had to have the recipe. Now Tori's a fabulous interior designer
in Manhattan.
- The Borgia Cake - aka The Sacred Cake of Our Holy Mother Church. Created when my best friend Thalia and I were binge-watching The Borgias. "As sinful as any Borgia, every bite demands confession."
- Auntie C's Super Waffles - This is how my niece and nephews refer to my secret recipe, which they ALWAYS request whenever they sleep over.
